I sent this note to our Jesuit friend when it was announced he would be sent to the hospital, infamous for serving the poorest and gravely sick patients. He survived the nightmare of COVID in this place. Praise God, he survived with all his limbs, wits and spirit intact.

I look at this note again, and it is speaking right back at me.
