Catholic Graciosa

CATHOLIC GRACIOSA is a chronicle of our family life and island living in Cebu. This island is the first home of Catholicism in the East. I was born here, where cultures and civilizations merged — the old East and the old West.

GRACIOSA is my mother's maiden name. I am a Catholic wife and a mother of six. My daily work involves creating recipes, pastry baking, and communications. We have adopted Catholic homeschooling. We love books, art, and nature.

I read the story of St. Edith Stein during the lockdown. What struck me so deeply was the moment she sent a coded message while in transit to Auschwitz.

"Tell them, we are heading East"— also meant they were heading to their final home, east to Paradise.

CATHOLIC GRACIOSA is our testament to the faith. Here we share stories, our creations, and the ordinary Catholic life. To sanctify our daily lives will ultimately bring us home, east to Paradise.
